Final performances in the Grotowski Institute’s Programme

Inside a tank filled with water, with their bodies fully submerged, a woman and a man are living their daily lives. The performance, with its confined, abstract atmosphere, gives the audience the opportunity to observe the complex relationship between the couple outside the established social standards and to discover a sort of ritual primitivism. The Muzzle of Silence, a piece created and performed by Aftab Theatre Company (Iran) is an experiment play which can be called a contemporary ritual. The shows are in Persian with English surtitles. The play concludes the Grotowski Institute’s Programme presented within the Theatre Olympics. Tickets are still available.
