The New Horizons Cinema is well known, especially to film lovers who attend T-Mobile’s New Horizons IFF, Poland’s largest film festival, established in 2006. Run and programmed by the non-profit New Horizons Association, headed by Roman Gutek, since 2012, the cinema presents art and auteur films as well as quality independent middle-of-the-road cinema. It also offers a variety of film education projects, broadcasts from the legendary Metropolitan Opera, film programmes, festivals, film events for children and senior citizens, exhibitions and concerts. The foyer features a poster gallery and a bookstore selling film literature and film DVDs. The building is disabled friendly. It houses nine air-conditioned theatres (the largest one seats 562) fitted with comfortable seating and professional audio and video systems.
