Tomasz Wierzbowski has been working with Teatr ZAR since 2005 as an actor and musician in the performances Gospels of Childhood, Caesarean Section, Anhelli: The Calling and Armine, Sister. A graduate of English Philology from the University of Wrocław he is also the author of the Polish translation of Nikos Kazantzakis’ Report to Greco and How Equal Temperament Ruined Harmony (and why you should care) by Ross W. Duffin. His interest in Georgian polyphonic singing was cemented after expeditions to Tbilisi and Svaneti. While working on ZAR’s newest piece, Armine, Sister, he broadened his vocal work by learning modal music and also learned to play the kanoun under the supervision of Aram Kerovpyan. wrote the music score for the film Wielki Tydzień directed by Jarosław Fret.
