Duncan Jamieson

Duncan Jamieson is an independent researcher, web developer, translator, and editor. He has taught at Rose Bruford College (2003–4), the University of Exeter (2006–9), and been a resident scholar at the Grotowski Institute (2008–12). In 2012, he co-founded TAPAC: Theatre and Performance Across Cultures (www.tapac.co), a nonprofit organization focused on building multilingual digital and publishing capacity in the field. Recently he has been developing a cross-cultural community platform — Culture Hub (www.culturehub.co), now in beta — which provides a range of networking, translation, and content-sharing tools for use by practitioners, researchers, students, and organizations. He is co-editor of the peer-reviewed scholarly and artistic resource Polish Theatre Perspectives (www.ptp.press), and his articles and translations have appeared in journals such as Contemporary Theatre Review (2007, 2009), Performer (in Polish, 2012), Performance Research (2008), and in books published by Bloomsbury, Routledge, and the Grotowski Institute, among others. He is co-convenor of the European Theatre Perspectives international symposium, Wrocław 2016.
