Dorota Semenowicz (born 1982) is a graduate of Arts du spectacle and Lettres modernes Faculties at The University Paris III Sorbonne-Nouvelle, granted a Ph.D. degree in Humanities at Jagiellonian University in Cracow (2013). She has worked in the Literary Department of the National Theatre in Warsaw and on programming of Malta Festival Poznań since 2009. She is the author of the book To nie jest obraz. Romeo Castellucci and Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio (This is Not an Image. Romeo Castellucci and Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio) which will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in September 2016 as Theatre of Romeo Castellucci and Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio. From Icon to Iconoclasm, from Word to Image, from Symbol to Allegory. She edited collective works: García. Resztki świata (García. The Leftovers of the World, 2014), Wykluczeni. Między estetyką a etyką (Excluded. Between Aesthetics and Ethics, 2012), Polityka wyobraźni. Scena flamandzka (Politics of Imaginagion. Flemish stage, 2011). She has published articles about contemporary theatre in numerous Polish journals. As a dramaturg she cooperates mainly with Maciej Podstawny.
