Attis Theatre was founded in 1985 in Delphi, Greece, by Theodoros Terzopoulos. Its fundamental aim is to research ancient Greek tragedy and major international plays. Over 30 years, Attis has presented more than 2000 performances all over the world. The theatre co-produces multilingual and multicultural performances in collaboration with international festivals and foreign theatres, and promotes the method of Theodoros Terzopoulos. The company also organises conferences, workshops and art exhibitions (Kounellis, Psychopaidis, Tziotis, Meimaroglou, Chrisikopoulos) as well as hosting international theatre productions. The theatre has two stages. Books about Attis Theatre have been translated and published in many languages (Greek, English, German, Chinese, Turkish, Russian, Polish).
