Katarzyna Woźniak

Katarzyna Woźniak is Associate Professor at the Department of Italian Language and Culture of the Pedagogical University of Cracow and Secretary of the Association of Polish Italianists. Her areas of interest include comparative theatre studies and the history of Italian contemporary theatre. As an author and translator, she contributes to Performer, an online journal published by the Grotowski Institute, for which she has translated texts by Eugenio Barba, Ferdinand Taviani and Jean-Marie Pradier. Katarzyna Woźniak is the editor of the Meridiana and Meridiana Classic series which explore contemporary Italian theatre and Italian literary classics. She initiated and then co-ordinated the Kraków Italianist Meetings, established in 2015, an annual event that brings together translators and translation scholars.
