Elena Floris

Elena Floris (born 1982, Italy) began to study the violin at the age of six. She received her diploma in violin in 2004 and graduated in psychology in 2006. Alongside classical music, she has played in groups of other genres, especially folk but also jazz. She has performed with different chamber music ensembles and various bands (Gretadieu, TNT Orchestra, Taraf, Nidi D’arac, Animal Tango, Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio) and famous Italian soloists, such as Daniele Silvestri, Dente and Emma Marrone. Elena Floris collaborates with the Odin Teatret actress Iben Nagel Rasmussen as actress-violinist in the Italian version of the production Esther’s Book and is a member of the group The Bridge of Winds, led by Iben Nagel Rasmussen. She joined Odin Teatret and the ensemble performance Andersen’s Dream as a musician in 2009.
