Audiovisual Technology Center

Audiovisual Technology Center (CeTA) based in Wrocław is a state institution of culture and heir of the rich history of the Wrocław Feature Film Studio (1954–2011), famous for numerous productions including the debuts of such directors as Andrzej Wajda, Kazimierz Kutz, or Roman Polański. Currently CeTA undertakes production activities in the fields of cinematography, television, Internet, education, and culture – making use of available electronic technologies and multimedia techniques. Among the latest film projects realized here there were: Dolina Bogów dir. Lech Majewski, Las, 4 rano dir. Jan J. Kolski, Loving Vincent dir. Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, Szczęście świata dir. Michał Rosa, and many other debuts, animated films, and documentaries.

CeTA is composed of over 8500 m² of space with complex infrastructure allowing professional motion picture production, as well as organization of even the most exceptional cultural and artistic events. The former Feature Film Studio building, together with two film studios, a sound recording studio, a cinema space and a vast collection of costumes, located in the vicinity of the Centennial Hall, all create a unique surrounding for initiatives of this kind. The venue of the Theatre Olympics Wrocław 2016 is a studio equipped with multi-screen projection technologies, multi-channel sound amplification, and a foldable auditorium for 226 people. The space has an excellent acoustic that allows taking professional shots with the possibility of using traditional or virtual scenography (the biggest universal greenbox in Poland, covering 330 m²). Underneath the hall’s floor there is a 4 m x 6 m cavity (pool) of 2,5 m in depth.
